Fikaride is an indoor cycling game operated by Charles Lee. These terms apply when you use our website, the app at app.fikaride.com and its previews. By using Fikaride you agree to them. Questions? Email help@fikaride.com.

Ride safely

Indoor cycling is exercise, and exercise has risks. Check with a doctor if you are not sure it is right for you. Set up your bike and trainer as their makers describe, keep the area around you clear, drink water, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. Fikaride can change your trainer's resistance when Feel the hills is on; you can turn that off at any time.

Speeds, distances, power, heart rate and calories in Fikaride are estimates from your equipment and our models. Do not use them for medical decisions.

Your account and your rides

You can ride without an account. If you sign in, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your rides belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and send them as needed to provide the features you use, such as backups and uploads to services you connect. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information. You can delete your rides and your account in the app.

Plans and payments

Core online riding is currently free while the product is in development. Our pricing page describes the paid plans available now. A free account does not automatically become a paid subscription; a purchase requires your explicit agreement at checkout.

Pro costs US$5.99 per month or US$50 per year, charged in advance. It unlocks all costumes and a Pro badge while active. It does not change riding performance or award achievements. Subscriptions renew for the selected period until canceled. Your checkout shows the total, including any applicable taxes, before payment.

Payments will be handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle’s buyer terms and refund policy also apply to the payment. Fikaride is responsible for providing the app and product support.

Cancel renewal using the subscription link in your Paddle receipt or contact help@fikaride.com. Pro continues through the paid period unless the purchase is refunded. Canceling does not delete your rides or earned items. See our refund and cancellation policy for refund requests and pre-sale cancellation.

Lifetime Offline pre-sale

Lifetime Offline costs US$100 once during the pre-sale, increasing to US$120 when the offline app launches. It is a purchase of software with a perpetual offline license, not a recurring subscription. The downloadable offline app is still in development.

When pre-sale purchases open, we commit to delivering the downloadable offline apps for macOS and Windows and license within seven calendar days of your purchase. We will provide download instructions through your account or purchase email. Both macOS and Windows versions are included. Contact us before purchasing if you have questions about compatibility. If we miss that delivery deadline, you are entitled to a full refund under our refund policy.

Pro starts immediately after a successful purchase and continues until one full year after the offline app launches. All app updates released from purchase through at least that first year after launch are included. We will tell buyers the launch date and the end date of their included benefits. The included Pro period does not automatically renew or create another charge.

The delivered offline app and eligible updates remain yours to use permanently on compatible hardware and operating systems, even if Fikaride’s online service closes. Offline riding will not require a recurring login, paid subscription, or connection to our servers. Keep backups of your installer, assets and license. Online services such as account sync, live weather and connected fitness uploads require internet access and are not part of the permanent offline guarantee. Compatibility with future operating systems and updates beyond the included period are not guaranteed.

Connected services

When you connect a service such as Strava or Intervals.icu, its own terms and policies also apply to what you send there. Those services are not operated by us, and we are not responsible for them.

Fair use

Please do not:

• break the law or anyone else's rights while using Fikaride;
• harass, impersonate or harm other riders, or use offensive names;
• interfere with the service, overload it, or try to get around its limits or security;
• scrape, copy or resell the service or its content, except as these terms or the law allow.

We may limit, suspend or close access when someone breaks these rules or puts the service or other riders at risk.

Our content

The game, its worlds, riders and artwork are ours or used under licence. Route lines use map data from OpenStreetMap contributors and other sources listed in our credits. Scenery is generated by the game and is not a survey of the real places.

Changes and availability

Fikaride is still in development. Online features may change and the service can be unavailable at times. We will not charge you without your agreement. Changes do not remove the delivery, offline-license, included-benefit or refund commitments attached to a purchase you already made.

No warranty, limited liability

Except for the express promises in these terms and rights provided by law, Fikaride is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected product. Nothing in this section excludes our express delivery or permanent offline-use commitments, your refund rights, or rights and liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Fikaride develops. We will change the date above and give additional notice when a change materially affects you. If you keep using Fikaride after a change, the new terms apply.
