Privacy policy

Last updated:

Fikaride is an indoor cycling game operated by Charles Lee. This policy covers our website and app, including previews. Questions or privacy requests? Email help@fikaride.com.

We use information to run Fikaride, save your rides, provide connections you choose, and improve the experience. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect and why

Connected services

You choose whether to connect a fitness service such as Strava or Intervals.icu. We use the access you grant to send rides when you request it or enable automatic uploads. You can disconnect at any time. Disconnecting does not remove activities already sent to another service.

Optional Google sign-in provides basic account details, not access to your email or documents. We do not receive your Google or fitness-service password.

Analytics

Fikaride currently uses technical diagnostics to understand performance and fix problems. You can turn off performance sharing in the app.

We may add website analytics, such as Google Analytics, and product analytics, such as PostHog, to understand how people use Fikaride. Neither is currently enabled. Before introducing them, we will update this notice with the relevant details and provide choices or request consent where required.

Who we share information with

We use service providers to run Fikaride, including Cloudflare for hosting and security, Google for sign-in and support email, and Open-Meteo for weather. Connected fitness services handle the rides you send under their own policies: Strava and Intervals.icu.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information where needed to comply with law, prevent abuse or protect people and the service.

Storage and your choices

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the features you use, resolve support requests, maintain security and meet legal obligations. Technical reports and recovery data are removed on automatic schedules. Data stored in your browser remains until you or your browser removes it.

You can manage optional connections, backups and performance sharing in the app, and download or delete ride recordings. Contact help@fikaride.com to request access, correction or deletion of account information. We may need to verify your request. Data already sent to another service is managed through that service.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a copy of your data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local privacy regulator. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and improving it, legal obligations, or consent as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Fikaride develops. We will change the date above and give additional notice when a change materially affects how we use your personal information.
